This Privacy Policy explains how Vona ("Vona", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
We collect information in the following categories:
We share information only as needed to operate the Service: with the professional or household on the other side of a booking (limited to what's needed to complete it), with members of your own household (who can see the household data you and they add), with our payment processor to handle transactions, with service providers who help us run the Service (such as cloud hosting and push-notification delivery), and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Records tied to bookings, receipts, and audit history may be kept for longer where we're legally required to, even after an account is deleted — see "Deleting your account" below for exactly what that means in practice.
Subject to applicable law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
Exporting your data. From Account → Privacy & Data in the app, you can request a copy of your data at any time, no need to email us and wait. The export covers your profile, your household's homes, vehicles, and document titles and metadata, your bookings, badges, subscription status, and your most recent notifications. It does not include other households' data, other members' bookings, the full contents of uploaded document files, or your complete notification history.
Deleting your account. Also available from Account → Privacy & Data, this deactivates your login, revokes every active session on every device, and clears your name, email, and phone number from our systems. Some records tied to bookings, receipts, and audit logs you were already party to are kept for legal and accounting reasons, but are no longer linked to an identifiable account. If you're the owner of a household with other members, we'll ask you to remove the other members or transfer ownership first, so nobody else's access to the household is disrupted by your deletion; deleting a solo household's owner account closes that household out entirely, and deleting a member account simply frees that member's seat.
To exercise any of these rights another way, contact us using the details below.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Information about household members who are minors may be added by an adult household account holder solely to support household organizing features.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
